Road E-Dryer

What We Do - Road Drying

Ellis Consolidated has introduced into the market place a new piece of equipment, the E-Dryer, which will revolutionise the way companies manage delays or cancellations of asphalt laying, linemarking or other construction activities due to wet pavements.

Road E-Dryer Linemarking completed post Road Drying

Sourced from Nordic countries and commonly used during the asphalt pavement renewal process, Ellis Consolidated has now brought into Australia one of the worlds ‘Best practice’ Road Drying Technologies.

The E-Dryer will dry the pavement with hot exhaust gas, allowing asphalt paving processes to start almost directly after the profiling operation. Issues surrounding moisture caused by profiling, which is necessary to control airborne dust and cutter cooling, can be avoided.

Additional uses of the E-Dryer include pre-heating pavements prior to application and removal of waterborne paints and thermoplastics. It can also be used to dry pavements post water blasting, allowing for new linemarking to be reinstated in the same shift – Very helpful for major traffic switches.

The E-Dryer uses a Tool Cat Utility Work Machine chassis which allows it to have interchangeable attachment heads, including a Bobcat Sweeper Broom or Bobcat Tilt Broom.
