In September 2024 Mick Graham and Ben Mackay went on a Product and Training trip to USA.

Our first stop was the Caterpillar factory in Minneapolis where we spent our first day with the Caterpillar Engineers going over the pros and cons of their profilers and stabilisers.

2^nd day was a walk through the factory where we got to witness the plant we use daily being built from the ground up, one thing that stood out was 90% of these machines are still handmade.

3^rd day was the day we were waiting for the trial day where we were invited to their testing facility to put Caterpillars latest profilers and stabilisers through the tough stuff.

Here we tested CAT’s 1m and 2m Road Profilers and their latest Stabilisers.

4^th day back on a plane and heading to Nashville, Americas Country Music Capital and home to Wirtgen America training facility.

Here we spent 2 days of stabilisation training on WR240 learning the tricks of the trade and also troubleshooting any issues we might come across in the field.

With access to Wirtgen best trainers and product support staff Mick and myself came home with a wealth of knowledge that we could implement in the field with Ellis staff.
